Fort Lauderdale's Best Eats

In my opinion,

Every vacation is 20x better when you are enjoying the food that you are eating.

You may be the type of traveller that does a large grocery run when you arrive at your destination, and might dine at a restaurant 1 or 2 times during your stay.

Or you might be the complete opposite type of traveller, and you enjoy experiencing a new restaurant and dining experience every day of your vacation.

No matter which type of traveller you are, I’ve got you covered for some of the best restaurant recommendations to enjoy on your next trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Breakfast with a view at

Casablanca Cafe

Breakfast @ Casablanca Cafe
(ocean views available)

We stumbled upon Casablanca Cafe on one of our first days in Fort Lauderdale, and I’m so glad we did. We visited only minutes after the restaurant opened, so we were able to enjoy incredible views of the ocean while enjoying a great breakfast.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION:  If you enjoy Avocado Toast, it’s awesome here. I added on an over easy egg and it was delicious.

Brunch @ Shooters Waterfront
(ocean views available)

If you love Mimosas as much as I do, this is the best brunch spot to visit.

Why?

Because they offer BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS FOR ONLY $25!

Shooters is one of the best brunch restaurants I have ever visited. We dined on the patio, and admired the stunning waterfront views while watching the breath taking yachts pass by. The food was absolutely incredible, and the service matched it.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION: If you’re looking for an appetizer to start with, the PBSS Flatbread was fantastic. For my main I enjoyed their Eggs Benedict and also loved it.

Sushi @ S3 - Sun, Surf, Sand

As a disclaimer I am not much of a sushi person, but this was hands down the BEST sushi I have ever had. S3 has an amazing cocktail selection, and I’d definitely recommend saving room for dessert (we ordered 3 different dessert dishes, and they were all delicious).

Overall, I have never craved sushi in my life, until after our visiting this restaurant. I am truly excited for my next visit back.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION: The Dynamite Speciality Rolls were one of my absolute favourite dishes out of our entire trip. Thinking about them right now is making my mouth water. This dish is an absolute must.

Seafood @ Boatyard Restaurant

The Jumbo Shrimp Scampi at Boatyard Restaurant

If you love seafood, you need to make a reservation at Boatyard.  This restaurant has an amazing vibe, fantastic drinks, and makes for a great place to enjoy a fun Saturday night. We dined on the patio lounge which provided a prime view of the Intracoastal, and views of Boatyard’s outside bar.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION: For my main, I enjoyed the Jumbo Shrimp Scampi, it was absolutely delicious.

Yolo:

Yolo was one of my favourite restaurants to visit, and had some of the most delicious cocktails I’ve ever had. The live DJ, delicious food and drinks, and awesome atmosphere made us never want to leave (so we actually made a second visit back before ending our vacation).

Click here for a sneak peak of our experience.

DRINK RECOMMENDATIONS: If you like Instagram worthy cocktails that taste as good as they look you need to try these two.

1) CREATE YOUR OWN OLD FASHIONED COCKTAIL (If you like strong drinks)

2) BUTTERFLY KISS (If you like sweet drinks)

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Angry Shrimp appetizer was one of my favourite appetizers throughout the entire trip. For my main I absolutely devoured the Garganelli Alla Vodka Pasta. If you have room for dessert, get your camera and sweet tooth ready for the Donut Tree. (For all my Canadian friends, this dessert is essentially fresh Timbits served with your choice of sauces…. IT WAS SO GOOD!)

Overall, our one week trip to Fort Lauderdale was one to remember. This was my first time visiting Fort Lauderdale, and I’m already very excited for my next visit back to return to all my favourite restaurants while discovering new ones.

If you have any favourite Fort Lauderdale restaurants you love and recommend, please send me a message or comment below so I can add them to my list!
