My Daily Delicious Smoothie Bowl
Everyone says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
So why not start your day off right, with an easy, healthy and enjoyable meal?
Recently I started creating a bunch of different smoothie bowl recipes to see what I enjoyed the most and what was the easiest to make, without requiring a million random ingredients.
After a bunch of trial and error work I have perfected and created my favourite smoothie bowl I have ever had.
INGREDIENTS FOR SMOOTHIE:
Frozen strawberries (I use 70grams)
Vanilla Greek yogurt (I use 150grams)
1 scoop of your favourite protein powder. I’m currently using Canadian Protein’s New Zealand Whey Concentrate in the flavour Chocolate.
2-3oz of water - You don’t want to add too much water or else your smoothie bowl won’t be very thick.
INGREDIENTS FOR TOPPINGS:
My favourite granola is Rawcology’s Raw Crunch Blueberry with Acai (I use 15grams)
I also love using pumpkin seeds in my smoothie bowl. Pumpkin seeds are a healthy snack and ingredient that’s super easy to add into almost anything! They are also a great source of protein , zinc and magnesium.
I use around 12grams of Urban Hippie’s Raw Pumpkin SeedsFor my third topping I switch between fresh strawberries and 1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds. Sometimes with the Chia Seeds I find they all clump together, so I haven’t been loving that lately.
METHOD:
BLEND- Blend your smoothie ingredients together. I use the Nutri Ninja Pro to create all of my smoothies, and I love it!
Pour smoothie into a bowl
