My sisters 21st birthday just passed on September 12th.
21 is a big deal, so I wanted to give her an experience that she would always remember.
We started her birthday celebrations by going out for a beautiful family dinner.
Dinner was fantastic, but I knew everyone didn’t want the night to end after the dinner.
That’s when I was grateful and excited that prior to this night, I reached out and hired Liza from Storybook Picnics.
I hired Liza to to create an outdoor surprise birthday party for Taylor. This was my surprise to Taylor after our family dinner. We continued the celebration with wine, dessert and kept the event small as it was for 6 people.
Liza gave me a few different options of where we could set up this Storybook Picnic, but since it was a surprise, and we had dinner plans beforehand I decided to choose my backyard as the venue.
As soon as I knew where I wanted this event to take place, I sent Liza pictures of the space so she knew what we were working with.
I got the idea of hosting this picnic event after seeing a blogger on Instagram have a similar event for her birthday. From seeing how picture perfect her event was, I was able to have a set image in my mind of how I wanted this night to look.
That’s when I sent some inspiration photos to Liza so she could bring to life the event I envisioned.
The night of this event, Liza set everything up when I was at dinner with my family. So of course, I put all my trust in her that everything would be perfect for the time we arrived home.
When I saw the transformation she created from my backyard space to this gorgeous, picturesque event I couldn’t of asked for more.
The twinkle lights she provided set the perfect mood, and the personalized chalkboard she brought assured Taylor all of this was just for her.
Overall, Taylor was surprised, and couldn't be happier. Everyone had a great night, and thanks to Liza this is a birthday celebration we will all remember.
